4th of July

Tonight we took a pre-fireworks picnic dinner to the University of Delaware.


It was baby J and Rosie's first fireworks (if Rosie saw some last year I don't remember and probably neither does she). Rosie was a little apprehensive at first. Baby J loved them instantaneously. It's always hard to capture a moment like this, especially in a phone camera.





Rosie seemed to like the fireworks in small doses, periodically signing "all done," saying "bye" to the fireworks, and trying to walk away. She did get a kick out of yelling "BOOM!" during the show and clapping. I love fireworks so it was fun to share that with Rosie, though it would have been much better with DaddyO with us too.
