5 month Joseph

- happy baby! Unless he's tired or hungry, Joseph is typically in a good mood.
- people person. Smiles and laughs at most anyone who notices him.
- cuddler. Loves to be held. Being in the carrier is an easy napping situation. He's also been snuggling with us at night which often makes for awkward sleeping positions, but it's generally working for us.
- slowly getting used to the bottle. We're ramping up for Mom going back to work.
- on the move. Rolling with greater ease and sitting up a little more solidly.
- drool. Possibly early teething, he is like a faucet and likes to taste everything.
- car. Doesn't seem to mind the car too much anymore. The song "Cows" still has an instant calming effect on him.
- his hair is still thinning but what he lacks in the hair department, he makes up for in cheeks!

Joseph is such a special baby who has the amazing power to make others feel special as well. He has such a big heart and adores his sister. We love him!

The other week Rosie had a lot of fun figure out how to manipulate photos using a program called Fotor (simpler version of photoshop). Here is her finished product, something she was VERY proud of! She plans on framing it and putting it by her bed.

Joseph is such a happy baby! He is becoming more playful and responsive. His limbs all seem to move in different directions when he's excited but also loves to settle into a good snuggle. Love this kid.

More month four highlights:
- 16 pounds (mostly concentrated in the cheek, chin, and thigh areas)
- smiling and laughing a lot, especially right after he wakes up.
- Ticklish around the neck and shoulders
- has rolled over in both directions
- discovered his feet
- coordination getting better. He can more easily grab something and aim it to his mouth (see next bullet point)
- early teething...gnawing on his fingers and anything else he can get his hands on
- getting more accustomed to the car, still with the help of Cows. Also joined millions others in being a fan of Adele's "Hello."
- loves facing out and enjoys quietly observing the world from the carrier
