Been avoiding posting since we have yet to post Joseph's for one year birthday news, but decided to at least share in the meantime. The dog goes Woof!

Happy Birthday Joseph!

One year zoomed by and this little one has really wowed us all.


Joseph is a little social butterfly and continues to feed off of attention. There is something really magical to see the expression on people's faces when Joseph picks them out of a crowd. He loves to laugh and be silly. He knows how to get a rise out of us by making his scrunchy, smiley face. His understanding of language is taking off and he's reacting a lot, from "tras" and tipping like a teapot to one side, to "making eyes," standing "up," to wanting to "bu" when he's hungry. He's a little monkey-see-monkey-do mimicker. He loves cuddles, remote controls, eating fruit and meat, peek-a-boo, splashing in water, and sweating. He dislikes falling asleep, potatoes, his carseat, and having his diaper changed. He's brought such immense joy to our lives and to this world. He is surrounded by family and friends, both near and far, who remind him constantly that he is deeply, and truly loved. DaddyO asked Rosa how she would describe herself, and among "beautiful" and "loves science," she included "good at babysitting."

We love you, Joseph.

Tea time

Rosa and I had a special tea time yesterday. I especially enjoyed the one-on-one time as I have been emotionally preparing for work next week. This little one never ceases to amaze me with her patience, flexibility, worldly insights, and cheerfulness.

Spent a day at the Museum of Discovery and Science. Rosa in particular loves the simple machines orange grove interactive exhibit. I think she sprinted on that bike for 10 minutes straight.
