6 months!

This kid is all smiles. He's moved onto an Adele kick (no more cows...for now!). He lights up when Rosa is near. He's on the move, army crawling/scooting quicker each day. He's gotten his first tastes of banana and avocado. Joseph still loves to be held, loves seeing the world from the carrier. He enjoys time in his "office" aka excersaucer. Joseph's kind soul has shown hints of empathy and cries when his sister is upset. We love this guy. I'm sitting in a plane, delayed on the runway, and could easily stare at home the whole flight. I may just so that. Signing off.

Crawling wasn't a big enough milestone this week. Joseph wanted to show off his pull ups as well.

Good morning!

First food!

On Sunday, we gave Joseph his first taste of solid food. He was definitely excited. And some banana did end up in his mouth. Success!

First ski, first snow

Up in Sugar Bowl for a weekend in the snow. Rosa had her first ski lesson with her BFF P. She seemed to really enjoy it and was close to figuring out her "pizza stop." Joseph got his first taste of snow. He enjoyed being bundled up and staring up at the snow. He even took on sledding! Not bad for a 5 month old.

Rainy day hangout

A lot has happened! So much so it'll take some time to catch up. Until then, Joseph and I are enjoying a rain day at home after two full days of work/childcare.

2016

Happy new year!
We spent the evening at Vavó's enjoying a nye crab feast and then having two countdowns, one in honor of mom's east coast roots and the one local time. Spent good time with family, sat by the fireplace, danced along with time square, and literally rang in the new year with lots and pans (thanks to cousinly love!). 2015 was a rollercoaster year. As Mike and Rosa cuddle on the couch and I snuggle up with Joseph, I am grateful for all we have and am eager for the many adventures of 2016.

Also, happy birthday to Bà! Thank you for your love of surprises, your lullabies, your commitment to your health (still squatting and climbing like a pro!), and for dedicating so much time with us this year.
