Music, bingo, zoo, beach

Music in the backyard:





Bingo for Books event at school. Rosa came home with about 15 books. Big winner!


Met up with Na today. Slurped in ramen, bambu, then met up with Daddy at the zoo:


Hit the beach before the sunset. It was Joseph's first time in the sand. He was very into this new tactile experience. Amazingly, he didn't try to put it in his mouth. Smart kid.


Rosa, unsurprisingly, enjoying a half dip in the water. Today she seemed to doing a sort of battle cry, almost like she was challenging the water. Love her spirit.

Just a normal Thursday

Life is good.

Picked up Rosa and headed for Sulphur Creek Nature Center and had a really lovely afternoon checking out birds, coyotes, beetles, went on a mini hike, basked in the sun:





Stopped by to visit Daddy at school. Rosa never wants to leave. Joseph attempted to break through into this clementine:





Both kiddos fell asleep in the car. Then Joseph and I had backyard exploration time Rosa slept. Today's theme was ice and water bags.





Then dinner with Vavó, Auntie, and Alyssa. Solid day!

7 months

This month Joseph has proven to be an expert traveler, having traveled to CT and Vegas. He lights up when he sees people, especially Rosa, Mom, and Dad. He's scooting and semi-crawling with ease. He's not tried bananas, avocado, butternut squash, zucchini, carrots, yogurt, and bits of rice and soft bread. He loves to be held, still, which means he doesn't often like to be left alone. He loves water and went swimming for the first time. Swings are also a big hit. We are trying a Montessori-style bedroom, which means a mattress on the floor for free roaming. Stay tuned for the results!

Warm two days here in the Bay! We got in some good park and backyard time.

Stats:
Weight: 16lb3oz (20%)
Height: 2'3" (70%)
Head circumference: 18.2" (99%!)

Everything looked good, though Josephe's weight growth has slowed (possibly since I went back to work?). Doc wasn't concerned but said we should maybe push to pump a little more to make sure he's getting enough while I'm at work.

Joseph was super sweet and engaged during the visit (tried to pee on the nurse!). He's now in a deep sleep. So good.
