eventful weekend

Our weekend started off with graduation at Mike's school. It was an awesome ceremony with a huge turnout from families and the community to support the graduating seniors. My favorite part of the ceremony is diplomas. Each student got to have a statement read as they crossed the stage to get their diploma. Here's a pic of Mr. De Sousa in action:

Saturday morning Mike woke up relaxed and carefree, having successfully finished off another eventful year as principal. We also woke up to pouring rain. So Mike had the wonderful idea to head to the Monterey Bay Aquarium since we were going to be stuck indoors somewhere. Best idea Ever!

Tropical fish: Here's Rosie mesmerized by the tropical fish, though in all honesty I ended up being the one who couldn't take my eyes off this. So amazing!

Finally the storm clouds subsided and we took a nice walk around the town.I spy a rainbow!

Sunday: We head to Livermore to celebrate Vavô's birthday. We have a super tasty feast and get some good QT in with the family.
