We spoke to Ba Ngoai this morning. As I was talking to her, while wearing the red robe that she used to wear throughout my childhood, I had the realization that I am turning into my mommy (in the best way of course).
Then a friend stop by and treated us with balloons, flowers and a pho lunch.
Food coma hit and Rosie and I took a nice long nap until Daddy-o came home. Rosie was in such a deep sleep we had to poke and prod her to make sure she was not really in a coma. The beauty sleep really paid off and she was a hoot when she woke up. Her laugh is one of the sweetest sounds, and her daddy can really get her going!
Then Daddy-o took us to dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant where we dined on tasty food, including Rosie who got to gnaw on naan. When we got home we bundled up and went for what turned out to be a refreshing rain walk. It was the perfect time to break in Rosie's new hat:

All in all, it was a beautiful day. I feel quite lucky and loved by my family and friends. Life is good.
