Park bday, Firehouse, and feeling a little off

This morning Rosie decided to join DaddyO for his morning routine, i.e. wake up at 5:45am. Needless to say, it threw off our day a tad. Rosie crashed hard the moment we got into the car at 8:30 on our way to a birthday party in San José. And she woke up just in time for a beautiful park birthday party with a 2-year old G. These two were so funny. Classic parallel play, gravitating toward each other but exchanging very few actual words. Or eye contact:

It was an aviation theme. This plane was definitely fancier (and more durable) than the one hanging on Rosie's wall from Halloween:

Only one tense moment before the candle-blowing... :)

After naptime we ate our 4pm lunch (again...schedule way off) and then headed downtown. A little treat at the park. Rosie was a little more hesitant on the structure than usual (foreshadowing!). We met DaddyO there, where we ran into a woman he had worked with back in his Abercrombie days (17 years ago!).

On the way back we had fun exploring the artwork at the Firehouse theater. Bike rack:

I've been working on the railroad:

During our walk we started to notice Rosie heating up. Turns out our little baby is with fever. She cuddled with us the rest of the evening, cracked jokes, and is now cuddling with DaddyO. Hope it passes soon.
