The new year has brought with it valiant super heroes, inventive storytellers, gourmet chefs, abstract architects, and brave adventurers. We've spent the last weeks with family both in hugging-range and kiss-blowing-through-facetime range, friends, hiking, dipping our feet in creeks (Rosie and DaddyO, my ankles can't take the cold) and transitioning back to our respective schools. Rosie's favorite books include
Rosie Revere, Engineer, the
I'm Not Isabella books, and now engrossed in, that's fancy for "can't get enough of,"
Fancy Nancy. We've been loving having Rosie's auntie Na with us. Orange will forever be known as "Na's favorite color." With an upcoming trip from cousin J, uncle M, and auntie A, we were humoring ourselves with the idea of cousin J and Rosie someday going out for a beer together. It's hard to think of her grown up when the last I heard from her tonight was, "I want you to stay with me forever and ever and ever" as she rubbed my "chocolate chip" (birthmark on my neck that she subconsciously rubs when in reach). As life speeds up, this blog seems to slow, but I don't suspect we'll abandon it anytime soon since it still brings us so much joy to look back on these amazing moments. Happy 2014.
