11 months

6.25.16

Couldn't quite swing a staged headshot this month but I do love this photo. It perfectly captures the everyday life of Joseph...sweaty, clothes worn and probably covered in food, and full of smiles.

Most notably, Joseph's new thing has been standing on his own. Only happens when his hands are preoccupied (holding a sloppy plum or clapping) and has lasted as long as 15 seconds.

He's understanding a lot now. He tips to the side when he hears "tras", offers what's in his had when you say "share", claps in demand, and comes at you when asked for a kiss.

It almost seems like he knows the sounds for dog and cow, though they sounds suspiciously similar. His signature sound is a gaspy laugh, not sure where he learned that. He also does a cute scrunchy face when he makes eyes at people.

He still loves to shoot love to people out of his outstretched hand. He still seeks attention from anywhere nearby. He is better in the car but will still go into pterodactyl mode when he's not in the mood or really tired.

He wakes up a few times a night, loves most any food we give him, and still thinks Rosa is the most wonderful thing in the world.

He's the best!
