Later that evening we met up with some neighborhood friends J, M, and baby C. We walked to a nearby Mexican restaurant, Tlaquepaque. On the way both girls zonked out. C apparently followed Rosie's lead on this because she apparently never falls asleep in the stroller anymore.
We had a tasty meal and schemed a camping trip next summer. When the girls woke up they were a little disoriented, especially since the restaurant was rock-concert-loud. But they at least had each other to comfort.
On Saturday DaddyO had to work so Mommy and Rosie had a slow morning then headed up toward Hayward to meet up with DaddyO. On the way Mommy got a little turned around and ended up Kennedy Park, where it seemed like half the Bay Area was partying. So we decided to take a pit stop there and have DaddyO meet us. There must have been at least 20 different parties going on, from birthday BBQs to family reunions. There was a carousel, a train, and (most excitingly), a petting zoo! Rosie got to see some beautiful chicken, rabbits, pigs, horses, and friendly goats.
We got to ride a turtle
And Rosie got to feel what it's like to be a rabbit
Later that afternoon we met up with the Vavôs and cousin A at the house we hope to live in. A few days ago we got our offer accepted so now we need to go through the hoops of closing (knock on wood everything looks good!). We wanted to walk through the space and strategize what work we might want to get done. Being in the space felt...right! We are so very excited. After we headed to Livermore for dinner and some Olympics viewing.
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! DaddyO and Rosie got some father daughter time at the park while Mommy did some work and got her groove on at the gym. Then we hit up one of our favorite spots, the Campbell Farmer's Market. Rosie fell asleep in the stroller so we took a nice long walk...turned out she slept for almost 3 hours! This girl loves to sleep on the move. We ended up resting on the grass while waiting for her to wake up from such sweet slumber.
In the afternoon it was Daddy's turn to do work so Mommy and Rosie hopped on our bikes and headed to the SJSU campus for a free Symphonic concert. There we happened to meet up with some good friends D, C, toddler G and baby A. DaddyO met up with us and we headed to dinner together.
With a stroll through downtown San José. G insisted on holding Rosie's hand. Rosie did not mind one bit!
