Exploradora: Val Vista Park

One of the joys of being in a new neighborhood is discovering the nearby parks. Today we found Val Vista Park, which I'd been to before when we coached high school ultimate. What I didn't know was how big the park was and how sweet the water area is.

(note about picture: 1. Water features 2. Rainbow! 3. Brave little Rosie at the end of the rainbow!)
Up on a little hill is a shady area with 4 or 5 water fountains. The best part was that the water drained into an enclosed area that had a mini-mountain area, so the water filled the valleys before draining down below. Makes you really feel like you're an explorer.

It was a nice find. And apparently there are more play areas so we'll have to do some further exploring another time.
