bon voyage Daddy and Rosie

Woke up in the wee hours of the morning to drive DaddyO and Rosie to the airport. This is going to be the first time that I, Mommy, will be away from Rosie for more than half a day. To catch you up, Daddy and Rosie are on their way to DC, but I have classes so will be joining them on Friday, afterwhich Dad will come back Sunday and Rosie and I stay until Wednesday.

I do have to say, I am feeling pretty good about them leaving, though of course I'd rather be going too. As much as I'll miss them, I am mostly excited for DaddyO to get more one-on-one time with Rosie. I did have a moment of weakness, though, the other night. We were eating and talking about our upcoming trip when Rosie started to protest, climbed into my lap, and said, "Mommy, stay. Mommy, stay," and put her head on my chest. Oh man! I was partly dreading the airport drop-off in case she tried to pull another stunt like that :) But everything went well!
