Oakland Zoo

DaddyO's morning meeting was cancelled so we decided to make the most of a beautiful day. We ended up at the Oakland Zoo for the first time. It's a smallish zoo but well designed so it was easy to get up close to the animals. We started off being wowed by Gibbon Island where we could see the gibbon swinging along right in front if us.
(look closely and you can see the gibbon swinging behind the Rosie Gibbon pretend-swinging in front.)

Tree frog...yum? (she kept flickering her tongue when she saw any of the reptiles. Parseltongue, perhaps?):

Goat!

We ended out trip with a sky ride. It was a really beautiful a d peaceful ride. And the icing in the cake was getting to see an elephant since we missed them earlier. Rosie had been asking to see elephants all day so it was a nice way to end the day.

View of the Bay.
