Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!

After a quick lunch at Vavó and Vavô's house we went to Orinda for a New Years Eve celebration in Orinda with family. It was great being with everyone. Rosie loved playing music for Baby M and talking to Uncle N and Aunt J's baby. That was the first time Rosie understood something about babies in utero, though it is a confusing concept. She kept saying, "Baby M's coming!" and tapping her belly.

We were the last to leave the party and barely made it out the door. Rosie kept saying bye to us then would lead Ba H to her bed to snuggle under the covers. I'm pretty sure she would have been delighted to stay for a sleepover. So we decided we'd set up another evening where she can Ba can spend the whole night together. Even in the car she kept saying, "Ba, stay" and she was being buckled up. So sweet!

Party favors: red onions!
Right around midnight Mommy and Daddy had a glass of champagne, reflected on the highlights of 2012, most of which revolved around special moments with family, and sat in wonder of what's to come in 2013.

This morning we slept in a little and then headed to Sycamore Grove in Livermore for a New Years Day walk. Who can resist dozing off when all bundled up on a crisp day!

What a beautiful start to 2013!
