We decided last year that the best gift is time and love, especially when it comes to the vavos. This year we decided to head to Monterey for the day. With the vavos love for the coast and its food, we knew that we would all have a great time.
We arrived at Monterey and enjoyed seafood at our favorite market/cafe, grabbed a cup of coffee and headed to the aquarium. We went straight to the kelp forest exhibit where Rosie and the vavos were quickly wowed.
Later we visited the Open Sea exhibit where Rosie enjoyed the sharks and sea turtles.
The Jellies were quite the treat too!
Not sure how the whale snuck up on us!

Rosie would like to share that sardines are "amazing". "They change colors" she told us.
Many get creeped out by the eels, not Rosie she got up close and personal.
Sometimes Rosie prefer to play with the "pretend fishes".
Daddies and babies together.
Future super hero?
Who's more excited?
"Group Hug"
We wrapped the day off with some traditional portuguese food in San Jose and made our way back home. We had special day with the vavos and our aquatic friends.
