make new friends but keep the old

This week we've been connecting with friends old and new (though very few pics to document...on a dry spell). On Monday we had a playdate at our new Pleasanton friend's house, mama E and M (big brother O was at school). It was really nice for me to catch up with E while Rosie had a blast playing with new toys and climbing stairs.

Wednesday we went down to San José and visited with old neighbor friends, a household outnumbered by pets (tortoise, snake, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbit, bird, bearded dragon...probably missing a few)! It was really sweet to see Rosie warm up so quickly.

Then it was off to dinner with Mommy's teacher friends from LUCHA. We tried out a new pho place in Vietnam Town. Rosie was excited to see Baby J walking and was sure to take her around the restaurant, dodging servers with heavy trays of boiling pho. A stop to Bambu for che was of course the last stop before going back home to see DaddyO.

This morning we resurfaced at a MeetUp group event. We had brunch at Denica's, a really cute restaurant that has a back area ideal for kids. We met (and remet) a bunch of moms and kids while munching on pancakes and bacon.

Before heading home we stopped by the newly renovated playground a few blocks away.

Playing is hard work!

Rosie spent the afternoon with Tia, Tio and the cousins while Mommy had her first class of the semester. Then she and DaddyO joined the Vavos for weekly dinner. Apparently there were a lot of kisses being dished out.
