We've had such a relaxing time here at Connecticut that I've forgotten to post!
We have gone swimming everyday at the gym. Rosie is growing more and more comfortable in the water. She independently puts her head underwater for a nice long stretch (5 seconds?!), and we played around with floating on her own (she scream/laughed...I think that's a good sign). Twice now Rosie has stayed at the kid's center while Ba and I worked out before swimming. She keeps asking to go back to her "teacher."
We hang out on the hammock (when it's cooled down a bit), gone for neighborhood walks, and visited the library (which turned into an epic potty adventure). Funny side note: my old high school friend who used to live on Coleman Rd with us just moved in next door! Neighbor reunion!
We visited some of my old high school friends, during which Rosie made two young friends who begged us to come back and play.
Di T has been a master storyteller and good sport, always up for Rosie's story requests. Rosie is growing more comfortable with Ong Ba Co (great grandparents), and it is funny to see Rosie react similarly to how I did when Ong would try to tickle our ears. I told her she should try to tickle him back. Working on that one.
Having a great time, though we are looking forward to picking Daddy up at the airport on Saturday for a Boston adventure!
"Exercise! Exercise!"
Rosie's first grapefruit bowl. She insisted on doing it herself (with varying degrees of success):
Attempting to use the pool. We settled for this:
Puppet show at the library:
"I'm busy Mommy. I have to bank.":
Evening walk with Ong Ba. Rosie was being a silly flasher (yes, that's her dress over her head):
Silly camera time:
Warning: naked baby butt! Post-swim hair drying:
Rosie woke up for a mid night chat with Daddy. So good to hear them laugh together:
